These awards recognize individuals who go above and beyond in their professional and volunteer lives in order to inspire the youth in our community. Nominated by her supervisor Karen Juers, Kate was selected to receive this award with seven other honorees at the 31st annual Orange County Executive’s Youth Awards luncheon on June 6, 2013.

“We are delighted to have Kate’s hard work and dedication to the Club kids recognized through this prestigious award. Kate is a tireless advocate for our Club kids and has created opportunities, including cooking classes, college visits and community service, that they would not have had access to otherwise,” said BGC Executive Director Alexis Eggleton.

Kate currently leads the Club’s programs at Circleville Middle School where she recently launched a swim club as part of the Clubs’ “Triple Play” Program, which demonstrates how eating smart, keeping fit and making healthy lifestyle choices leads to brighter futures for our youth. Kate also serves as the Head Director for the Clubs’ Flagship Town of Wallkill Summer Day Camp.
