“Every year this event and the Celebrity Servers exceed our expectations. This year the Servers and the Steering Committee went above and beyond to ensure it would be the biggest, best event we’ve ever done,” said Goldstein. “I am so proud of the Dinner’s record-breaking success, because I know how much it means to the Club kids in Sullivan County to have the stability and the fun that their Clubs bring them every day after school.”

“This event continues to grow and amaze us all, and we attribute the continued growth and enthusiasm to the strong support the communities have for the Boys & Girls Clubs, and the work with do with local youth. And they know that by making a donation to the Clubs, those funds stay in the community and more of the donation goes directly to support our Club kids and their families,” said Executive Director Alexis Eggleton.

Each team entered to their own theme music, through a music-themed archway donated by Perry Gips and Partymaster. From there they shimmied and shook and belted out song after song to entertain their guests and earn those tips!

It looked like Team Italian Stallion & Friends (Thompson Supervisor Tony Cellini, Thunder102′s Paul Ciliberto & Michelle Semerano with The River Reporter’s Jonathan Fox and Dharma the Wonderdog, and Michele Klugman-Resnick & Allan Scott from the Sullivan County Partnership for Economic Development) were going to reign victorious for a second year with $5250 in tips, but newcomers Team Bethel Woods (Denise Frangipane, Margaret Hughes, Jodi Kane and Wade Lawrence) prevailed, raising a staggering $6232- a Celebrity Dinner record!

Roscoe was well-represented as the event, with two teams participating. Roscoe Superintendent John Evans joined with Phil Eggleton and Tom Burnham to celebrate Roscoe’s bag piping heritage, and John Walsh and Brian Facquet from Prohibition Distillery channeled their inner “Simon & Garfunkel.” Combined these teams raised more than $5000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs, which has planned an expansion into the Town of Rockland in 2013.
