The Giving Tree

Every holiday season, Town of Wallkill Boys & Girls Club spearheads The Giving Tree gift drive. This annual effort puts holiday presents under the trees, menorahs, kinaras, and more of 500+ children living below the poverty line across Northern Orange & Sullivan Counties.

Participating local businesses (who volunteer as Giving Tree host sites) display a non-denominational holiday tree with ornaments that list the first name, age, and size, and hobbies of hundreds of children in need of a little extra support during the holidays.

Our 2024 Giving Tree Applications are live below! All applications MUST BE RECEIVED BY OUR OFFICE BY NO LATER THAN NOVEMBER 5, 2024! Whether you want your business to be a host site, you'd like to donate items or money toward gift purchases, or you'd like to choose a child to support, there's lots of ways to get involved.

Our Club staff and volunteers collect and distribute the gifts to children and families in need right here in our community. Many of the Club Kids in our programs benefit from The Giving Tree, but the drive is open to all children. We work hard to support as many children as possible from our local community.

If you are interested in applying for your child(ren) to receive gifts through The Giving Tree, please submit an application today!

Families with children who do not attend Boys & Girls Clubs' before or after school programs and/or our summer day camps are eligible to apply! They will just be required to submit additional financial documentation to be considered.

Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis as long as our resources allow.
